I took M with me downtown today and had him be my enabler as I spent 20 fucking dollars on nail polish. Than I used him to enable me to buy the mini-jewelers bench and carry it 3 blocks to the car. It is so cute. I might have problems doing actual work, but gathering the equipment and supplies is no problem, because it's basically shopping.

I have a whole lot of frenching tips I bought when I was certain I was going to french my nails forever... but the problem is, those things tear your nails to pieces underneath, they even wreck the nail BED. It is so annoying. I don't know why they don't simply put water soluble glue on the paper - then you could just wet them and slide them off without destroying anything.

sigh

GOOD GIRL for getting that jewelers bench. When you have the stuff, you'll start tinkering. It is your version of me opening word. I start fiddling with sentences and the next thing I know I am firing all cylinders.

"Money can buy happiness if spent correctly" is what I read on a blurb of the book The Happiness Project.

That's a good idea, why don't they do that for frenching tips? Oh jeez, the makeup counter girl at the makeup chain store "Sephora" gave me a tip as I had her try on a mascara for me (I wanted to get something better than Maybelline, but didn't cuz that stuff is 24$ on up!) which was to coat the very tips first. How would that add any difference? But dang if it didn't work, it made my lashes MUCH longer looking. She fiddled with applying mascara to just the tips for so long.

I don't use mascara or any makeup these days. I still dye my hair though (although I can feel it is a phase and will probably stop soon). I don't know. I just resent how much time and energy it steals from doing actually fun stuff.

MMhmm girrrrrrl, i cannot NOT wear makeup, I get to many complaints from other people. It is so much work though, and I haven't gotten beyond brown/black mascara, loreal foundation, and a cream blush. I'd like to try all that new fangled stuff and tricks, but you need serious time and energy for it. It's got to be a hobby! I am trying to wear more makeup, for the enjoyment of it, once again, before old age settles in and I can't enjoy the frivolity of it.
