It's no secret that my favorite car of all time is the Citroën DS. I've never owned one, but my "when I win the lottery" fantasies all include owning at least two DS (a convertible for which will be left in California for when I visit my folks in burgundy with a cream interior and a navy blue hard top with tan interior for the east coast).

Oh those are pretty cars!

Oh, yeah. Well engineered, too. So many of my American colleagues were appalled that I'd bought a French car instead of a German one, but the Citroen's were classics for a reason. The swivel headlights on the DS were amazing around corners, for instance. BMW spent most of the 1960s trying to do as well.

Ooh, I hadn't heard about this. They're amazing cars, both of them, with a very big place in the hearts of the French. Must check into the concept car story. I'm happy without a car, but know several people who will be interested.
