I've been thinking of selling my S5IS and getting a second-hand DSLR sometime this year. But I have a little trouble letting go of my S5IS because I really, really love it. Takes great pictures in day time, but really horrible ones at night or in low-light places. It'd make a good back-up camera to use tho! That is, if I decide to start my DSLR ( Read more... )

I saved last year to get a DSLR. What I did was every time I got loose change (or any coins at all) I put them in my piggy bank and after a while I had enough to get the camera!

Haha, that's really cool! What DSLR are you using? I actually have a stash of cash set aside for my camera funds, about $300 in all. Would need more than that for a D90! Teehee

It's a D60, not the newest model but I love it anyway. The D80 is able to take videos right? I wish mine could do that!

The D80 can't take videos, the D90 does. If I go ahead to get the D80, I'm most probably keeping my S5IS since it takes really good quality videos! Will miss it too much if I sell it away and get my D90. :|

i almost confused you with another friend of mine. anyway, nice! how much did you get the 450d for? and what about your s5is? i'm still consdering if i should jump ship from canon to nikon. i tried my friend's d90 (who now has the d300) and fell in love with it seh. the colours are freaking amazing!

i still lurk around cs, i just don't post much. setakat tengok2 aje :P malu lah nak share pics! hahaha

LOL. You can call me a "noob" because I'm not sure what kind an S5IS is. I'm more of a Canon over Nikon though.

haha, it's a prosumer camera. like a digital cam but also has most (but not all) functions of a full-fledge dslr. :D yeah, i'm more of a canon person too! but i'm a nikon convert now! *tsk* loyalty point: 0!
