I have to disagree with you. Nice guys finish last...it's a fact. I am the epitome of the "nice guy" persona. I always finish last. Girls always consider me a friend and nothing more. It's aggravating. Since 8th grade until now, I've probably dated more than 10 girls, and in each one I got burned. I try to do the right thing, but somehow things get screwed up. I've lost my confidence, and I'll always be screwed over because I'm a nice guy...I treat girls with respect. If girls don't want that, then fine. I guess they dont, cuz I dated a wide variety of girls. Anyway, you didn't insult me.
i know i tend to be considered the nice guy.... i am not perfect.. i make mistakes... i mainly try to do the right thing... sometimes i do dumb things as you know, mel...
but i would agree with the other 2nd2none... condfidance is a big thing... its like manifest destiny...or self fufilling prophesy... if all you think is you are only gonna make her your friend...then subconsciously thats the message you send to her.... and that all you get.... ok that was total BS.. lol
i have considered going out with more girls (5) sience i went to that party in december and a girl there... before this term i only had 2 crushs...a girl a long long time ago...and you.
then we hit the past term...and one girl held my attention (still does)...but i realized...theres a bunch of girls out there... ask her out...the worst she can say is no. if she does...theres another out there.
Well I have seen that there are some girls who do like the jerk guys. Since I am one of the nice guys i figured i got no chance which turns out to be true. Thankfully my searching is over and i have a girlfriend that i realize i would love to spend the rest of my life with her.

I like guys who say they treat girls with respect and are perhaps... overlooked by girls.
I just think the whole "nice guy" thing is overdone.
