I am home from my crazy travels across the eastern US!

And quite tired. Still. I got home yesterday (and spent a Very Long Time unpacking), slept many hours, and still can barely stay awake today. This trip was crazy. Eleven days of nonstop socializing, shopping, driving, eating, relocating (six hotels, plus my parents' Asheville house), and a bit of sleeping. Somewhere in there ( Read more... )

Glad it was a mostly good trip! So jealous you go to see Jess. And you went to Wonder Book! I grew up just north of Frederick (Walkersville) & have spent more money & time than I care to figure out in that store :)

Yeah, I can understand why you would spend a looot of money there... I am always such a sucker for a good used bookstore. And I saw Jess in a very noisy restaurant, and then Dade was nodding off in the gelato place, so I didn't get to see her as much as I'd like! But then, it's never enough with good writer friends, is it!

Wow! That sounds fun--and a bit intense. :) I'm glad you got to go and I'm glad you're home. Next time, take a trip out west and we'll hang out. I'll take you to all my favorite haunts and you can meet the million other YA and MG writers that live here. :)

It WAS intense. It was a little much. I want to spend the whole week in a hermit hole.

(and man I do want to go to SLC! I would love to see you! and other fab writers. and that creepy history museum!)
