anybody else see the president on "meet the press" with tim russert this morning? maybe i'm overly optimistic, but i think he may have dug his own grave. at least, i could see several opportunities for the dems to pull quotes into ads against him....nbc is rerunning it tonight on mscnbc and (believe it or not) telemundo. check it out! i'm no fan of ( Read more... )

I got a tip from our GLAAD rep that he would be appearing. Russert called GLAAD to help him develop some tough questions. I didn't have a chance to see it, but am glad to read your response to the show. it's what we were hoping for

Um, so I just read the transcript, and there was no mention of the CMA. WTF? That's how news works, i guess. But I feel bad for putting out an action alert telling people to tune in.

don't feel bad - watching that is exactly what you exhorted us to do in your Letter to Fellow Citizens: listen to the candidates, and judge their positions for yourself. incidentally, the ED of NGLTF has already been quoted as saying (in effect) that they have zero intention of pushing Kerry on the gay marriage issue, they just don't want him to bash us too loudly or vigorously. while i appreciate the realpolitick of that stance, and a President Kerry would no doubt be an imporovement over the current one, i'm still sad that the support of our national queer orgs. comes at so low a price.

hey there. sad about our criss cross, but i might be in Tremont for a bit tomorrow night. The Southside (near youand Katy) has free Sushi (to compete with LPP's Taco Tuesday no doubt) and I think I might hang there with the marys and doug. Y'all more than welcome to stop by.
