1) What first got you participating in fandom?
When a show grabs my attention and manages to fascinate me, it's not even a question of choosing to participate in the fandom, I just have to. I get interested in what the actors previously did (and checking it out), joining an online community to see if others realize just what an awesome show it is and be on the up-and-up, and checking out the fanfic. I've learned over the years that fans can be really creative about a show they believe in and it's great to see the worlds they create, the different perspectives on relationships on the show and just what they come up with. I've only been fascinated with two shows to this extent: Supernatural and Merlin. Yet I've only written fanfiction for Merlin; I'm too much of a scareddy-cat to attempt writing for Supernatural.
2) If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would be alloco, or fried slices of plantains. It looks like this. I could eat it all day, every day and never get tired of: hot, cold, it doesn't matter. I'm not one for mixing sweet and salty, but it works in this case, lol. When I was younger I used to say that I'd sit in the center of a table full of it for dinner every night, LOL. It'd be like being surrounded by platters such as this one. Hey, you asked!
3) Who is your favorite fictional character? If it's a Merlin character, who is your favorite fictional non-Merlin character?
My favorite fictional character is from Supernatural, Dean Winchester portrayed by the inhumanly beautiful - edit: and the incredibly talented, of course!- Jensen Ackles. I love Dean because he's brash, unsophisticated, cocky, pig-headed, dirty-minded but he's also courageous, determined, protective, kind - sometimes, lol - and selfless but above all, the smart mouth and arrogance mask a vulnerability and low self-esteem. He's like an onion, layers upon layers begging to be peeled back and to be explored. After 6 seasons, I'm still waiting for him to get his happy ending, because he certainly deserves it.
4) What is one job that you would never want to do?
Be a garbage collector; cleaning up after other people doesn't appeal to me in the slighest.
5) If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
I would travel through time; being able to relive memories and spend more time with my loved ones who've passed would be priceless.
