Character: White Len
Fandom: Melty Blood
Personality: White Len is known as the "selfish and more outspoken" version of her counterpart, Black Len. She's hauty, immature, and very self centered. She also expects other people to respect her as part of her selfish nature and she can get pretty pissy when this doesn't happen. The thing is, she doesn't really do much to earn people's respect so she often goes without it which is rather upsetting to her. But in her own mind she's the only person in the world that really matters, Nanaya might be an exception but who really knows with her? White Len is domineering and ambitious; she will do anything to further her own goals. Anything and everything, really. She has no problems with stepping on the faces of whoever gets in her way. In fact she even enjoys it a quite a bit, White Len can have a rather sadistic streak.
More on White Len's sadism: she enjoys scaring and tormenting people both mentally and physically. If she gets the chance to talk down on someone she's likely to take it as long as it doesn't get in the way of any of her long term goals. She sincerely enjoys killing and doesn't mind spearing some humans for the fun of it or just to get out some extra aggression. She's actually considered a dead apostle in nasuverse, despite not being a vampire, because she has been known to kill and eat her opponents just to gain power. For White Len, harming and maiming humans is fun. After all, what does she care? She's a familiar, a being of magic, and she's way above any lowly human.
Despite all of this, she also considers herself to be a lady. She is not polite per say, but she does speak with dignity. Although it has to do with her being full of herself she can appear as a charming young lady to people at first. Although the first impression only lasts so long, eventually you'll realize that White Len is just a self absorbed bitch. Although she can, and often does, use this facade to trick others. Nanaya says it the best: "I'm good at doing, you're good at using." When White Len really puts her mind to it she can be a master manipulator.
Another huge part of her personality is the fact that she always wants to be better than her other self. This includes going through great lengths to prove she is better by gaining what she considers to be a superior master. Anything she can do to be better than Black Len? She'll do it. This goal of being better than Black Len is of the most importance to her. I'd even go as far to say that White Len has an inferiority complex towards Black Len. She feels like she's 'less' than Black Len so White Len goes through great lengths to try to make herself better than her. She even tells people to call her 'Len', it's almost as if she wants to replace Black Len's existence altogether. Despite the fact that Black Len wants to get along with White Len, she'll have none of that and whenever the two see each other White Len's instant reaction is to try to kill her on sight.
White Len is also extremely stubborn and the closest thing the series is ever getting to a token tsundere character. Although most of this tsundere is shown towards Nanaya, her partner in crime. She insists she's only around him because he was the only master that would come close to being powerful enough for her. He also seems to enjoy picking on her which makes for an interesting dynamic between the two. Nanaya often comments that he doesn't know who the real master is in the relationship, and to be honest, he's very correct in saying so. White Len is bossy, and Nanaya tends to take it in stride. They also both share a mutual interest in killing so they're a match made in heaven.
History: White Len was created from the remains of Zepia Eltnam Oberon's original body by Aozaki Aoko. She also took in Black Len's suppressed personality when she was created. Her goals during her route in Melty Blood were to gain her own master and grow in power. She soon discovers she is still in a contract with Arcueid. Her aim is to kill Arcueid, however she fails, merely breaking the bonds between the two. Afterwords she enters a contract with Nanaya Shiki, who she has summoned from Tohno Shiki with her Tatari powers. They then enter a symbiotic relationship: White Len keeps Nanaya in this world with her Tatari powers and Nanaya gives White Len prana to strengthen her abilities.
Timeline: Act cadenza, the end of white len's arcade mode.
Abilities: White Len's abilities are kind of hard to explain so hang in there. First off, she has Tatari powers which is the ability to create things from people's imaginations, essentially, what they fear. For example, she was able to 'summon' Nanaya Shiki because he is the fear that Tohno Shiki has of being a killer.
Secondly she has similar abilities to what Black Len has. She can create ice spikes to attack with. She also has the ability to turn into a white cat with a white bow on it's back.
White Len is also a succubus demon familiar and she can manipulate dreams just like Black Len can. She can give both bad and good dreams, but knowing White Len? It is very very unlikely that she's going to give anyone a nice dream. In nasuverse, dream familiars live off of prana and there's two good ways to get prana: drinking blood and having sex. Luckily with Nanaya apping in as well he can supply her with prana she won't need to break into anyone's room late at night for a meal.
Finally, White Len has the ability to regenerate, making her tough to kill off. It's even said that you could cut off her head and she could grow a new one. However, regeneration takes time, and if you did cut off her head you'd probably win any fight you were having with her because I'd take her at least a few hours to regrow a head. Basically, her regeneration isn't spontaneous, so it isn't terribly godmocky.
Inventory: The only thing White Len will come with is the clothes on her back.

In her own mind, she had killed one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful vampire in existence. Of course, this wasn't true. The true ancestor had lost, yes, and the contract had been split. But she had come nowhere close to the edge of death and Len hadn't bothered to check if the vampire was really dead or not.
But, in Len's own mind, the true ancestor had no chance of beating Len to begin with. The familiar was just too strong. As Len enjoyed her fantasies of total conquest, she entered the empty streets of Misaki to summon a new servant. She had seen everyone in close up combat already and she had to say that none of them would do. They were just all much too weak for her. Not only did she need someone who was able bodied in combat but she also needed someone who had similar viewpoints as her and, above all, she needed someone that would follow orders without question.
Only one person came close to Len's idea of a perfect master but, in the end, he lacked that certain ability to empathize with her completely. Len found his killer instinct rather admirable but he was also a kind person. Too kind for Len. Cruelty was a game that Len played perfectly and someone who didn't agree with her merciless ways wouldn't make for a good master. But Len knew that he was afraid of himself. That was a fear that she could take advantage of.
Len prepared a back ally and used her abilities, the power over fear, to summon Shiki Tohno's fear of himself. This homocidal maniac would become known as Shiki Nanaya and also as Len's closest companion, and eventually, her lover.
Sample journal entry: My, this is a rather fascinating place. Seeing humans oppressed and magical creatures in control, so to speak... I have to admit, this is certainly interesting. How are you humans doing with all of this? Are you struggling under the rule of the fae?
*Len lets out a little giggle, it either sounds playful or malicious depending on your personal perspective. Either way, Len isn't telling.*
Oh, but where are my manners? I should introduce myself. I will allow you to call me Len. Now that I've made myself known, I suppose I should leave to attend to other more pressing matters.
*She moves to turn off the screen, but then hesitates. She sighs softly, frowning and resting her chin in her open palm.*
... Ah, yes, that's right. Before I depart I should also ask about him. Has anyone found a killer sulking in the streets by the name of Shiki Nanaya? He is my master and therefore it is important that I have him by me at all times. To be honest he is rather annoying and I'd prefer not to see his face at all but it's in your best interests to turn him over to me. After all, he's not nearly as refined as I am, if you understand what I mean.
