[Two weeks into her life in Mayfield, Hanako has still barely managed to adjust. The environment is no more familiar than it was when she first woke up here, and the atmosphere at home is stifling. Turkey is kind to her- she feels fortunate to have gotten someone like him as a 'father', as much as the word itself causes a sick feeling in her gut-

[[Aaron finds any excuse he can to get out of class. Taking another "bathroom break". Walking down the hall with a hall pass.

He sees her hopping and stops to watch. Not sure what she is doing but it looks fun and he doesn't want to interrupt.]]

[Hanako gives another little hop, then another, and then she pauses, as if thinking. After a moment, she jumps two tiles ahead. She hasn't noticed Aaron yet.]

[[Watching her, finally curiosity gets the best of him.]]

[Whoa! Hanako turns quickly, giving a startled little gasp.] Oh!

[Kira makes a small 'oof' sound as she's knocked into, and stumbles back a bit. As she hears the girl apologize, she looks at her, and after just a moment of hesitation on seeing the burn, kneels to help with what was dropped.]

Don't worry. Are you alright?

[facefear]

[Her eyes are downcast, and she keeps her hand over the right side of her face.] I-I... I'm s-so sorry, a-are you hurt...

No, I'm alright. Are you hurt?

[Kira watches the girl a bit quietly, before looking down and putting whatever else got knocked out back into the basket. With the way she's guarding that burn, Kira feels it wouldn't be good to ask.]

It looks as if you have quite a bit of food. Making dinner or just stocking up?

I-I'm fine... [her hair falls back into her eyes, and she begins to put things away, too.] U-um, d-dinner... f-for my 'father'...

Lady Hanako. Can I assist you with carrying those items?

O-of course... [there's a tiny smile. she looks tired; it's been a long day.] H, how are you?

[Hilda can't just ignore someone who left in such a hurry after looking so extraordinarily unhappy. She follows the girl out.]

Hey, are you okay?

[She's standing some ways down the hallway, one hand on the wall, leaning over and breathing hard. It's not from the effort of running- she seems to be slightly panicked, and barely hears Hilda.]

[Hilda approaches slowly, the worry only increasing.]

Excuse me? Are you alright?

[Hanako turns, and she recognizes the girl from her class. She can tell right away that she's not a drone, and that's pretty encouraging in itself. She manages to catch her breath a little, shaking her head rapidly.] I-I'm fine, I just... I can't b-be in there any more.

[oh, this guy is huge. her eyes widen somewhat fearfully.] I-I-- u-um, I'm fine-
