This sounds like a totally reasonable use of lottery money to me though. My sister and I have talked about this a lot too (not that we ever even enter the lotto, so our chances of winning are non-existent). We'd pay to have the surgeries we both need to be healthier, deal with all of our other medical stuff, pay off student loans, go back to school, and probably move. If we had money left for charitable giving after dealing with my hospital bills (which are many), we'd totally do that too.
Some part of me wants to say that I'd travel the world or buy a bunch of ponies, but that's totally not what I'd do.
I would love to buy a bunch of horses, but realistically the most I'd do is as part of buying our home with the lottery winnings get some land, have a barn built, and have one horse. I love riding and have always wanted a horse of my own.
That would be so wonderful. My stepsister has some horses and I always wanted one of my own just from riding hers. I don't know that I could ride anymore, but I love horses so much.
