haha i shall tell you over a more private medium; i don't want my lj to be googled! but yes, that's true, and at this firm it doesn't happen too often, apparently.
and you're going to go into corporate work right? your hours will be even more insane than mine. my legal case studies tutor (legal case studies is kinda like how to be a corporate lawyer 101, so our tutors are practising corporate lawyers) told us that things like this often happen: client calls you at 3pm and says they want to negotiate an agreement with someone that night at 7. you then spend the next couple of hours drafting the agreement your client wants, you start negotiation at 7pm, you end at like 2am, then you still have to finalise the agreement and other paperwork. =/

i hear that the only people with worse hours than lawyers are doctors and investment bankers. how is it that your investment banking firm only has occasional 2 am days??
XD she probably thought i was an idiot (since i didn't project ESPECIAL CONFIDENCE when answering technical questions and got half of them wrong because i used the wrong framework >__>) and was being sarcastic XD
