I had forgotten how much I liked being able to see the sky, to have the moon be able to shine down. The streets aren't as terrible now with the occasional shaft of moonlight making it down here ( Read more... )

It's almost ready! It was big, and getting it in the pot over the fire was a bit of a challenge. It smells like lobster.

I don't think it's burnt at all.

I saw a child yesterday. There are no others in the city. Perhaps that's a good sign?

Be careful if you go down to the shore. There aren't many of them, but they're vicious. I had to keep in the air to avoid them.

No, not one of ours. He was dropping like devices on the doorsteps and then running onto the next place. I tried to talk to him, but he hid and got away from me. Do you think he's lost?
