Wholly too fast symphony, Batman!

Went to the symphony yesterday. Now, let me start by saying that I think that David Robertson is a fantastic conductor. He obviously knows his craft, knows his music and knows how to get what he wants from his orchestra. The Grosse Fuge was very nice (conducted batonless, which is kinda cool); the Berio was weird but very well done. Beethoven's

I wonder if he just knows the 5th too well...though way too fast, I was quite impressed that he conducted without a score.

I did have lots of fun. We should do it again in December!
