When I "decided" to take a semester off I never told people directly. I think people just assumed that I wouldn't go to school. Fuck them, and fuck all you who doubted and still doubt me. words of wisdom -- not everyone will support you. but dont write people off just because they dont... they might have a better reason than the one you have for making the decision. if you decided to devote your time and money to a heroin and kiddie porn addiction, im not going to support you. look for advice instead, maybe even criticism. its the most constructive. support tends to come from apathy... a lack of better more relevant words to say, or from simple agreement, and thats rarely the case with anything in life. unless of course your friends are clones...

and... dont bind "support" with "care" ... you said it yourself ... "even if they are a load of shit spoken just to make me feel better" -- thats not care, thats shitty pandering.

dev, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong w/ taking a semester off. i, myself, would like to, but at the very mention of it my father said he would "cut me off since i was in such a hurry to be doomed for failure." fuck him. and fuck everyone who is/has tried to make you feel as though you are inferior for doing so. you have so much to offer this world, and i honestly feel that you will give ALL you have to offer with or without an extra 4 years of school.
