Help me get at the Internet

I'm unable to connect to the wireless network that other people in my house are using, and am looking for advice anyone may have.

My computer has the same difficulty. I get around it by getting to Network Diagnostics (there is a button expedient to the purpose on any Safari window you try and open when you're not connected), and entering the password in the variety of options that result (Wep Hex and Wep ASCII, here; Wep Hex is the one that works for me; yours might want to be ASCII.)

in addition to above rebooting, try rebooting the modem and the router at the same time.
