I've said it before and I'll say it again, to me, William Wyler's 1939 movie version of WUTHERING HEIGHTS is--to me--the most profoundly moving romantic movie ever made. This YouTube video, set to Kate Bush's song (to me, one of the most profoundly moving songs ever written) is almost too much to take!

Netflix it. Netflix it now. It's been out of print for so long that I haven't bought it but I should really pick up a bootleg.

Not out yet... I'm on the official "waiting" list. I just have to keep an eye out on TCM for it. I am now getting their emails, so that should help.

This has nothing to do with WUTHERING HEIGHTS, but, this is your old pal, Mom Smackley. I'm back on LJ now...I couldn't stay away. I see things and think to myself, "I HAVE to write about this!" Needless to say, I had to come up with a new LJ name. I think this one will work just fine.

ADD ME BACK !!!!!

To paraphrase Agnes Moorehead in CAGED, I knew that you'd be back. I'm so so happy. I miss you. Of course I'll add you back!

Hahaha...yeah, Live Journal is kind of like prison. You may get out at some point, but you always come back. I guess it's the lousy food and the late night strip searches.

I did a library book talk comparing Heights to the OC...

But anyway, have you seen the MTV version?

No! It looked vomitous. I usually have endless patience for shitty remakes because my interest gets the best of me...but WUTHERING HEIGHTS is too important to me on too many levels. How is it?

The only thing I liked is that it's a Jim Steinman (sp?) musical. That's about it
