Somehow, I always imagined it being a longer drive; really, it wasn't bad at all. I almost enjoyed it, except for the hailstorm.
I can't say I saw enough of Albany to form an opinion, but what I saw was kind of run down. I ended up having lunch at a weird, weird diner on Central Avenue. And it seemed to attract weird, weird patrons -- almost Twin Peaks-ish.
