I hate doctors and doctors offices. The office I use opens at 8. I called, regarding my dog bite, and nobody was even picking up the phone until 8.20. Then I was put on hold for 20 minutes. Then I hung up, called back, was on hold for another 5 minutes, and FINALLY got to tell someone what I needed. She said she would "pass the message along" to my ( Read more... )

I obviously don't live in the city (though our house is technically in it...), but I will canvas my other city-dwelling friends and get back to you.

don't know if he's accepting new patients... anonymous April 11 2007, 15:51:29 UTC
but the doctor i've gone to for 17 years is in Timonium - Dr. Vincent Wroblewski. It's just him, and he's very good, so he's usually packed, but he's a great physician...

if he's full, i apologize for the false lead...

Can you go to one of those urgent care places? There's a Patient First in Towson/Timonium. They take most insurances. I've generally had good experiences with them. The only problem is that you may have to wait for awhile, because its all walk-ins.

Oh, that's a great idea! There's a Patient First at Greenspring Station (take 83 until it basically ends.) I've been there a couple times after-hours or when my doctor was completely booked, and they've always been great.

Yep, that's the one I meant. For some reason I think its in Towson because it is north of the city. Everything north of Baltimore is Towson, apparently, right up to the PA border.

That is precisely what I did. As per the advice of one of my bosses. I actually never knew such facilities existed (not having grown up here). It was ever so helpful. They gave me a tetanus shot, a prescription for antibiotics, and they bandaged me up! The nurse even packed a little bag full of bacitracin, special non-stick gauze, bandaids, and medical tape...she said it was a little care package from her...and she told me to slip it right into my backpack. Yay for sneaky nurses.
