If you build a time machine and travel back to when you were a child and then kill your younger self, what would happen?

hard to say cause it seems like by killing the younger self you kill the older self, but then who goes back in time to kill the younger self?

My thoughts exactly. I couldn't accurately fathom the outcome of such an event. My guess is it would result in one of two extreme outcomes: a) A cataclysmic, reality-disrupting "event" would occur, destroying everyone and everything within a certain area of the
"event's" epicenter; b)in an attempt to protect itself and maintain order, the universe would not allow you to kill your younger self.
