I was reading through one of the groups I (attempt to) follow, and found an entry so fresh and interesting, I immediately went to the personal journal of the author. The style of writing was so lively and inviting, it made me think of "the good old days" of LJ, the times when we updated often, commented often, thought of it often ( Read more... )

It has been over 8 years that we started this journey. I too have dropped the ball, as you put it. Things are not the same anymore, the net is ubiquitous and everyone is doing it. I don't feel quite the same rush as in the early days of ICQ, trolling on Random :-) I haven't updated my journal in ages either, but still look almost every day to see what my LJ friends have been up to. Seeing your post was a pleasant surprise. I did answer your email the other day too, not sure you got it.

Good to hear you are feeling somewhat better, spring is here and all things are possible.

:) In every way that this post expressed to convey, I adore its sense of calm and wistfulness. I think it comes when so much of the pressing years since have somehow subsided and it is safe to look back. In fact, I share the same sentiments and have also come to have forfeited ball time. Yet there is always a place to converge. It's been many years; I say this with a tilt of the head, a small smile and a sigh. Thus far, right? :) I'm glad to be reading now that in this time of your writing (I am unfashionably late, as per usual), you had felt better, that life can be generous too in its turns and phases.
