37th Chance

It seems...I'll be staying over at Ryoma's for the rest of the week. If anyone is needing to find me, that's where I'll be at until Monday. Not a word, Akane. I know what you're thinking and you're not funny. On a related note, I had mentioned to Ryoma that Akuma has grown a lot since he last saw his sister or Karupin. He's...eight, maybe nine, ( Read more... )

Cute cat.

You make him sound scary though.

That's because he is scary. You would understand if you met him. I gave him the name Akuma for a reason, after all. He is a terror, and anyone who happens to catch his interest finds this out firsthand as one of his victims.
But he is cute. I like to think of it as one of his saving graces that makes me forgive him everytime he does something hellish.

Pretty and deadly. Interesting mix.

Why don't you send him to kitty boot camp to shape him up?

If I tried, I get the feeling he would do something so awful that even they would refuse to work with him. So to save myself some trouble and possible embarrassment, I think I'll just work with what I have. Despite everything, he does have his loving moments. He can be nice when he feels like it.

I don't think I ever appriciated how evil your cat is until now. He might have made an eternal enemy out of Karupin... I've never seen him act that way to anyone but Oyaji's feet...

She's lonely. That's why she makes cookies, so people come back.

I think Akuma almost constantly has his brain set on "attack and harass", so I feel for Karupin. But he's also an attention hog, so a lot of the time he does the things he does just to get someone, whether it be a person or another cat, to pay attention to him. Stupid reasoning, but I'm guessing he has been doing this since his days with his mother, just so he would stand out from his brothers and sisters.

I suppose that's understandable. Though I'd happily visit her anyhow, with or without the cookies. She's a nice woman and reminds me of my own grandmother in a way.

You could have named him something less sinister. Maybe he's living up to his name?

Hmmm... maybe you're right. Other ways to get attention though.

I agree. But she looks sad if you say no to the cookies.

He is a demon and he knows it, so I gave him a name that made sense to me. It might've been more polite to give him a typical cat name, but I doubt that would have stopped him any from doing the things he does. At least people know what they're dealing with with a name like that. Better to be prepared than sorry after getting a torn up hand from trying to play with him, thinking he was a normal cat.

Old habits die hard, as the saying goes. He's the only cat in the house now, but he can't seem to stop himself from creating mischief. But then again, I get the feeling he enjoys doing a lot of the things he does, so he doesn't feel a need to stop himself.

I noticed. I guess there's nothing wrong with indulging her, if it will make her happy. They are good cookies. I just wish she wouldn't try to give so many of them.

That song is kind of telling, ex-Buchou-sama! Did you do that deliberately? Maybe sing it to your sweetie-pie? I bet he felt so loved! Yikes, you don't want me saying anything? But I am funny. Lots of people say so. Even the Sisters!

Your cat has grown! What are you feeding him? Small children? They're offerings aren't they? So he doesn't destroy the world like he planned to?

No, I didn't. And what did I tell you? You're not listening to me, as usual. Go run laps. 20 of them. ...I'm going to hit you next time I see you.

He's an average-sized cat for his age and I feed him normal store-bought cat food. As far as I know, he hasn't been eating any children at all, and I doubt he would want to either, with as picky of an eater as he is. Though I suppose that doesn't rule out the possibility that he might try to eat their souls. I imagine he must feed upon something innocent to have enough energy to cause all the terror he does in a day.

I listened, I just chose to go with my own instincts on the matter and those told me to tease you about the songs you listen to! You remember you're my ex Buchou, yes? (^.^)b

You call him picky and he eats cactus? I'd say that was a prickly eater! Okay, that was bad, even by my standards. Basically your cat is a little evil, Buchou-sama. Thought about having him exorcised?

So you ignored me, then? Typical. I don't care. Run them anyway. I'm not above sending Takuma-kun over to force you to do it.

...Yes, that was bad. Bad and stupid. And I don't think any exorcism would work on him. Any priest that tries would more than likely just end up with a lot of nasty claw marks for his efforts.

Your cat destroyed a cactus? That's a very talented cat you have there, Kiraku-kun. ^_^

No need to apologise. Though maybe one day you'll allow me to meet this devilish kitten.

Talented and determined. I think he was well aware of my efforts to try and stop his bad habit, and he was out to prove how wrong I was in thinking it would work.

You would actually want to meet him, despite already knowing what he is capable of? I don't mind it, though you might end up regretting your choice, Fuji-san.

Have you tried ignoring him? Hs efforts would go unrewarded, he may stop destroying your things.

You paint such an interesting picture of him, I think I would like to meet him. ^_^ You could be right. But how will we know unless we try?

The problem with that is half of the time, I'm not even present when he's destroying something or doing something he shouldn't, but he does it anyway. I wasn't even there to watch him tear apart the cactus. I simply found it that way when I came home from school one day.

If you insist. Though I worry he would try to attack your own cat once he saw her. I wouldn't want her to be harassed by him.
