At first I thought that the obligation was on them, since you needed to stay more than the normal 8. They were "morally obligated" to finish your schooling. Who else wants to live in my perfect fantasy land?

I'm still here sometimes.

We have one of these moral obligations hanging over us since Ben left mid-semester and this ate his financial aid. So he only completed 8 semesters, but was technically there for 9. So we have a moral debt to Amherst. Someday when we have money, we'll pay them. It's so much better than the alternatives.
