so the other night, my mom says that she's smarter than i am. first of all, i'll give my mom credit- she's done really well for herself, she has a nice job, and she's well rounded and well experienced with the things of this world. I understand what you mean my parents are always throwing that stuff in my face and my mom has some experiences that make her so scared that something is going to happen to me. So I have to assure her that I am careful and can take care of myself that if something happens to me it will not be my fault or her fault that it was just suppose to happen and that I do not put myself in places or situations that would turn out bad. The whole thing boils down to differences of opinion and perspective my parents do not know what the world is like and I have to remind them that I know how the world works I live in it. (my parents have sheltered lives and can not begin to imagine the things that go on now a days)
