This is an open roleplay post! Anyone from any fandom may respond and Godric will reply. Have fun, kids.

[Godric is sitting on a chair and thinking far too much for his own good. Feel free to bother him.]

"Penny for your thoughts."

Sookie approaches him from behind, not afraid to do so because she's sure he'll hear her approach. "You look miles away."

Godric's eyes remain distant as he answers, but he smiles a little.

"Miles. Centuries. I'm contemplating the past and the future, such as it is. My own and the world's."

He looks up at her, a welcoming expression on his face as he gestures to the chair next to him. "Please, sit. I think some company would do me good."

She comes around to sit by him, clasping her hands in her lap. "Well, company I can provide, even though I don't have your perspective on things." It's funny -- physically, he looks younger than Sookie herself, but no one could possibly mistake him for anything but ancient.

"Anything particular you'd like to get off your chest?"

He tilts his head in a thoughtful motion before shaking his head.

"I'm glad you don't have my perspective on things, Miss Stackhouse. But despite my demeanor, I confess I feel more lighthearted now than I have in a very long time."

Which is not to say he isn't obviously still somewhat melancholy, but he does seem a bit more chipper.

Eric approaches Godric's side, kneeling to his right. He doesn't think about the disparity in their heights anymore; long ago it occured to him to be amused, before Godric showed how much he was capable of.

"Have you eaten?" he asks. Eric attempts to keep the question neutral, without his tone betraying anticipation or his hope of pleasing his Maker.

That's okay~ :) faderbroderson August 21 2009, 23:23:17 UTC
In some corner of Godric's mind, he's never stopped being mildly amused. Eric's height was one of the first things that had struck Godric about Eric the night he'd first laid eyes on him. Now their interaction comes so naturally he hasn't actively noticed for centuries, but every now and again he's reminded of the fact that his tall Viking child has always had to slouch to meet his eyes, and Godric still has to look up.

He smiles affectionately.

"I have not." He doesn't say he isn't hungry, this time. Unburdened by any immediate thoughts of suicide, he isn't entirely certain that's true anymore.

Eric is relieved, both that Godric is showing signs of wanting to continue living -- thriving -- and that he's able to help, even a little. Some distant rational part of Eric is bemused by the way he's eager to help and to look after Godric; like a Swedish farmwife.

He smiles too, a private expression. "I have several contacts I could arrange for you. A few rare bloodtypes, and perhaps fae." Or close enough, if Pam were able to wrangle him promptly. "You are still fond of AB?"

Godric's smile fades in favor of a thoughtful expression.

"Fae. I haven't had fae blood in..." Well, he couldn't remember. He looks intently at Eric, a unmistakable spark of interest in his eyes.

"You can procure this for me?" It wasn't every day one ran into a fae, after all.
