"I think I remember how to do this, Lilah," He murmured, stilling my hands with his own fingers. Yet he made no move to carry on what I was doing. Instead he looked around the room as if he saw something I didn't. Then he clutched at his head, as if trying to shut out whatever it was that he could see.

We lay panting for a little while, trying to calm our clamoring heartbeats and then he flipped me over, dragging me to lie on top of him.
