The director walked into the meeting room in which the expectant writing staff was waiting. He dropped a couple of blue binders filled with photocopies of the television script upon the table, causing a loud thud to echo throughout the room. I loved the idea of the "pitch" being the writing idea, rather than anything related to baseball. A new script by tomorrow morning? That sounds like the Idol writing schedule.

What a great vignette! My favorite moment was when "the director wiped away the tears that weren't forming in his eyes..." Such an immediate explanation of his character in one gesture.
