That is such an uneasy situation, and all too common, I think. Push the conversation, push on having a drink, push on taking things farther, and the answer was and still is No.

And I'm sure that guy felt he was "owed" for buying the woman a drink she didn't really want in the first place. Glad things turned out okay for her.

What an awful, but common, occurrence! I'm glad the bartender was there to step in, but it shouldn't have been necessary. You rendered the creepiness of this very well.

Ugh. Guys like that infuriate me. They think buying you a drink entitles them to a night of sex, and if you refuse, you're the bitch.
