Short and sweet; I enjoyed this one. It's so true and very interesting how we can be "ourselves" when we're alone and think logically and rationally about things, but every so often there is another person that can manage to shut all of that off with their simple presence. I liked the ending here. It's not exactly happy, but it does point to a brighter future, and that's all you can ask for when just emerging from a situation like this.

I experienced this with a friend. Just for once I did not want to be the one to call and would wait for hers instead. We did not speak for years.
