...

So, apparently now we all deal with the issue of being here by getting drunk off our asses. It makes me glad that Japanese law still views me as a child so I can avoid the rampant stupidity.

Jade-san, please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you. ( Screened to Jade // Unhackable )

You do realise... just because you are Able to drink... does not mean you have to do so. Just as being underage.. apparently does not prevent some people getting drunk regardless...

Of course. Apparently most people here are overcome by the sheer availability of the stuff and glut themselves on it.

And these are the people selected to save this world? Can I just wave the white flag now and surrender?

Hm. You have three options. Give up and join them, give up altogether, or work on surviving yourself and do not concern yourself with those too weak to do so.

Which will you do I wonder...

Pfft. I'm not the type to just give up. Or drink myself into a stupor either.

You are one of the few people in this place that makes any sort of sense.

If it comes to acting as if I'm "above" drinking or drinking, I think I chose drinking. Better that than having a superiority complex over others because they wish to enjoy themselves. Last I checked, doing so was not against the law in this place. Perhaps it did not occur to you that drunken company do not wish to "forget" where they are and, if possible, know it more than those sober.

So, you are entitled to your opinion yet I am not entitled to mine? That seems to be the consensus around here. Fine, you are right and I am wrong. I will be perfectly content being wrong. And don't expect me to pity those who whine about hangovers after they've drunken themselves into a stupor, because they don't deserve it.

I would expect nothing of the sort. Those who indulge and have consequences to pay should pay it. There is consequence to any course of action that involves risk. That is the sort of thing you learn both on the battlefield and in these kinds of situation. I do not deny that these indulgences do not reflect highly upon us, but they are, in fact, only instances of leisure we are allowed before we embark on a new level of rigorous training yet to be had.

I view these as simple but entertaining ways of passing the time before we get closer to the reason we were brought here.

Drunken people are only useful for one thing.

Canon fodder.

By all means I understand people drinking... to moderation. But when you have seen people on the battlefield getting killed because they could not drink to moderation... you understand more why it can be considered a bad thing.

Um, hello. We're roommates and, um...I didn't want to bother you, so I never said anything...

I'd love to meet you, though! Um, if you don't mind, I mean.

Watanuki-san, our other roommate, seems to have an unusual schedule lately. However, I was thinking we could all get together in our common room this evening to meet.

Agreed, Yagami-san. What time wouldbe good? I seem to be in the kitchen all the time since I've been making meals for Near-san.

Why are you...?

Never mind, Watanuki-san. We can probably arrange a time tonight in our common room, if that's good for you.

Oh. Um . . . I taught Near-san how to bake a cake and he seems rather underfed and has been afraid to leave his room since he met Misa-san. So, I agreed to make dinner for him for a while.

Oh, and, tonight would be okay for me. No problem. See you then!

If I can handle your weight . . .

...well, he won't really have to worry about Misa-chan any longer. She's... left, I suppose.

Yes. I'll see you this evening.

Would this evening be fine with you? In our common room, as we all seem to wander through it from time to time.
