First...the snow...for Charmer!!
And well..a bit of ice as well. Is always neat looking when it ices up like this..but so horridly dangerous too.
The birides hide amongst the branches of ice!
Anyways...yes...I am alive...Just not having time to write so much. Doesn't help that LJ is blocked from work now...and well work is more steady in having things to do. Interesting changes back in November, but good ones. And have made things over all more fun and rewarding. Though things have been way better since the contract change ups they had last February anyways. Better team, less politics and more working together.
Anyways...on to more pictures...these from Blizzcon/Disneyland trip back in October. Which it was crazy that we actually managed to get tickets to go. Millions upon millons of players of WoW..never mind Diablo and Starcraft all vying for the mere 12,000 tickets to attend!
But we hit Disneyland first, going a day or so early to do so.
There was multiple riding of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, of course!
Taking pictures in the ride is a bit rough since it is dark and flash isn't allowed, but the lightening effects in this section went off at the perfect time for me to snag a picture of this guy!
And then you have the map and chatty parrot at the end.
There was, of course, Eeyore seeing to be done....At the store...
And then wandering about the park itself...Which I somewhat stalked to see. As I knew from last time where he came out and there was Pooh and Tigger walking about and rotating back for breaks. So there was lingering about til Eeyore came out to snag some pictures.
Part of the coolness was also the timing of going as it was Halloween Time as well. And a couple rides were redone in Halloween theme..my favorite being that the Haunted Mansion was re-done to Nightmare Before Christmas...Entirely too cool. They did an awesome job with it. Though like so many rides, dark inside and flash photos not allowed!
But after a day at Disneyland it was off to pick up our Blizzcon tickets and goodie bag...
Also known as time to go stand in the epic line...
As the line zigzaged around one of the convention halls....
then out into the hall and down a ways....
then outside...and down the sidewalk...a bit further...
and then finally to the lines by last name...to actually get tickets...
Dinner out and time to get up and actually go to Blizzcon...Oh I mean stand in new line of Epic Doom!
They had snaked use around the convention center, down the street, into a parking lot...and then back and forth in the parking lot...Just plain crazy! Cause seriously...lines at BlizzCon were 10 times longer then any line I ended up in a Disneyland!
But it was still a hugely fun time. Jay was back...and continued to do an awesome job. Here he is chatting it up with the costume contest winner.
The 'house' WoW band was back again as well, with a few new songs to boot.
And Video Games Live was back as well. Way cool as well, as they did note..the only place you can go where you have a hard rock, metal band opening up for an Orchestra!
I have to say the Diablo III sessions were entirely hilarious with the logo splash they used!
Though seriously, was cool to get a change to play the game..even if it won't be out for a good year to two yet. Definitely has the old school Diablo feel to it and will have single player mode, which I am totally looking forward to in all honesty. I did play the witch docter a little, which was the class they announced there.
And a few pictures for Jinxeh, Diablo related even...but nobles, least concepts for, of one of the cities to exist in the game.
Oh..and I found a little friend while we were waiting for the Lego store to open one day too....
