Every time I look up a list for that 'you know you're from (insert state here) meme', I end up getting offended by not only the list, but the failures who write the list because they can't be assed to A), write contractions correctly and B), make a proper list. :|

Meh, besides, I'm about as non-Texan a Texan can get tbh.

meme only not

A meme about states, eh? I seen one other person play along with this meme. I doubt I will join suit with this meme. I am not very fond of making fun of where people are from.

I dunno if your state has a list that's a stupid as Texas does. I mean, most of them are stupid things that NO ONE from Texas does. Ever. Ever ever.

Not yet, but I am waiting for someone to call my state 'Super Liberal' or something if there is a list regarding what NYers do/are.

My list is for people that are from South Louisiana, for the most part. North LA always gets the shaft.

Yeah, anything east of maybe Mineral Wells and north of about San Antonio/Austin gets kinda...forgotten. Since we get rain (granted not that often, but we get it), have grass, and stuff people don't generally associate with Texas when they think about it.

Lucky XD Ah, the woes of being in a really horribly stereotyped state.

Yeah, the 'y'all' thing? That's true. We say that, like, a lot. And sob don't get me started on the rednecks.

Ha! I had the same problem for California. Except- it was obviously written for SOUTHERN California. It was all about how you go to the mall, go to tanning beds before hitting the beach, see movie stars at your starbucks, your dog has a therapist. I think there were four that applied to me, housing costs and gas are expensive here, the Terminator is my governor, and then the last was about giving illegals driver's licences. That was it. So I decided not to do it as it would be pointless.

Sigh I hate stereotypes. Granted, on the list, there were some that applied to me, but mostly generic Southern things, not things about me personally.

LOL, I'm from Fresno where most people live next door to orchards and see feed stores on every corner. Tanning salons are almost unheard of there. It's still in California though!

They should have just said 'You know you're from LA when...' because that's what they really meant.

When I looked up my state (Illinois), they were about one fifth true and one fifth utterly stupid. Most of them were very specific to the writer in question, (ending everything you say with a preposition and eating Jell-o salad with marshmallows, for example) and a lot of them were actually written for central/southern Illinois, which the exact opposite of the posh Chicago area where I live.

Also, Chicago is called the "Windy City" not because of any wind, but because its citizens like to brag so much about the city, producing a lot of hot air.

I just added that last part to make this comment somewhat educational.

I'd heard about that XD But yeah, I'm noticing that a lot of these lists aren't for areas of the states that people I know actually LIVE in. :|a
