He should, the demon supposed, feel some sort of satisfaction at having cultivated the "young master's" soul to hellish perfection. In the course of the ten years it took to satisfy their covenant, the demon had coaxed Ciel into trying every possible sin, some more than once. By the time Ciel was done, his soul was nearly as black as the demon's own.

The only thing he felt, however, was longing. Ciel's soul had tasted marvelous, and the demon regretted not being able to go back fot seconds.
