The Commandments of Karaoke

This is, of course, according to me. What sway do I actually have over any karaoke environment? Very little. Still, I suspect that many will agree with me on this.

Most people should be banned from trying to sing anything by Stevie Nicks. If swear, if I hear one more drunk couple try to sing the Stevie Nicks/Don Henley duet "Leather and Lace", I'm gonna set something on fire.

I did K for a while. My "thing" was the Doors. It's pretty easy to impress a room full of beer-pitcher swiggers with even a bad rendition of "RoadHouse Blues".

I would also do selections by Tool. Just because no one else would.

I've tried lots of things, and then I have my heavy hitters to pull out once in a while, that are almost guaranteed successes.

I also like throwing some obscure shit out there, just because. Yep.

Haven't seen Todd in some time. Usually he pops into my bookstore. I like seeing him, but... it's usually just bad news he has.
