Reflections during Lunch Break

Everything's so lazy, and you wonder if you can ever possibly be productive today.

Make it to work on the hour; not fifteen minutes before your shift--they'd like you to but you know: lazy day. It can't be helped.

Trying to stay away from having to interact with customers; just feeling antisocial today. You know that if you try too hard, you'll just mess up. Better to just relax, and go with the flow. But, like anything else (well, almost anything else), easier said than done.

So here you are, on your break now. Yay, lunch break. It passes just as slowly as the rest of the day--which is nice, you suppose. After all, if it passed much more quickly, it would just suck. It's good to know that not all "good" times must fly by, and all "bad" times must drag.

Isn't it?

After all, the differences are due to discrepancies in perception. If both good & bad times pass at the same rate for you, does it mean you've finally achieved a perfectly balanced, objective perspective?

. . .

Or does it just mean you've become jaded; that you've become tired of life?
