White House official tweaking scientific statements on environment

In many ways it's just a little thing (selling your soul to the NY Times required), but it makes me FURIOUS. I can't live in this culture.

Update: the White House has issued a statement. Do they backpedal or apologize? Of course not.

I just wish that this would change people's opinions of the administration...
but I doubt it will; people seem so polarized these days, and so untrusting of anything that they read, that they stick to a position and hunker down with their fingers in their ears, dismissing everything as the other camp's spin.

Which is, of course, exactly what's going on here, as exhibited; thus such behavior is reinforced, and things can't change...
