Once or twice I've experienced a shower which, due to some quirk of design, felt like it was hitting me with both hot and cold water at the same time. The effect is interesting. I wish someone would market a shower like that - where streams from the head alternate hot and cold. Or perhaps someone already is doing it.

Happens to me all the time. It's the different temperatures of different parts of your body relative to the same water- often my head and torso think the water's cold, and limbs think it's hot, if I've been running around out in the cold.

Yeah, but I want one that ACTUALLY does it - like, thermometer says so. And I don't mean different regions of the body, I mean like when one patch of skins feels both hot and cold water. That be nifty.

This is only semi-related, but this reminded me of an exhibit I saw once in some science museum. There were these little metal tubes lined up parallel, alternating ice cold and mildly warm. If you put your hand on it so that you were touching multiple tubes, somehow it felt burning hot. But the effect wore off after you got used to it, and then it was just...weird. I'd be interested to try this hot/cold shower idea.

I just want to know who the target audience is for said shower head beyond the people who WILL buy anything.

Duh! Me! I don't care what other people want to buy. Also a_dodecahedron, apparently :)

I'd only buy it if I could make my skin glass, and have my insides condense because of the temperature differential, and then screw in a knob, so I could I could make an elixer of me. Oh wait, I already have one of those knobs.
