What I don't get is how someone ever said "I have the right to tell all other people what they can and can't read." I don't understand the need to keep those books out of school libraries, especially when you can pick them up at any book store.

We have Banned Books Week in libraries across the country every September, so be sure to come out to support us then! :)

Really?

Let me know ahead of time and I certainly will either make it out that way or to my local library.

I wonder..... twilight_hunter April 16 2010, 14:55:13 UTC
I wonder if they put any Hemingway on that list. Cause damn! I did a Report on "A Farwell To Arms" when I was still in high school, and there was either Sex, Drugs, Rampant Alcoholism, or Killing on almost every page. He was one of the Authors on the list of people I HAD to choose from.

Do I think anyone but parents should have a say in what their children read? Aboslutly not.

I hate it when people feel empowered, and then decide that their decisions are the right ones for everybody. Thats how you get lists like this, and Nazi's. and (Insert bad Tennessee accent here)I fucking hate Nazi's
