Well I don't have a picture of my old pirate costume from my late childhood. But what I can offer you is the only proof there is or will ever be of me having spooky-kid-white-face OR Crow-face for that matter.

last chance not to look... this could scar you for life!... really... don't look... okay - I warned you though *zerbert* )

I looked harmless, but ohhhh the nightmares I had as a child. *ponder* How strange.

I like in that picture that there is a pom pom on the neckline of my costume but it loos like the pumpkin has a set of yarn hair falls from the angle. *bwa hahah*

Awwww that sounds cute and whimsical.

Did people recognize what you were when you went around? That sounds a bit of a challenge to convey.

Here´s the story behind the rug costume. My mother can sew and make costumes from scratch, which she has done for as long as I can remember (we always went to renfairs as participants and had to have period costumes, if you don´t know what a ren fair is ask palespider) so she (with visions of aladdin or the geni or jafar dancing in her head) asked me if I wanted to be something from aladdin for holloweene(sp?). Sure I replied, I want to be the rug. Well she tried to convince me to be something else but my little heart was set on being the magic carpet, as to why, I have no clue. Well as you have guessed it was a little dificult to convey who I was, the most common guesses were: Curtain and Picture. Whats the weirdest costume you ever wore? Cause one year I was a mad french fur trapper, complete with fur coal(fake, got it for $.50), tanned weasle pelts(borrwed), and a rediculous fake moustache. Your turn.

That's adorable. Yes I have attended Ren Faires and some events from the Society for Creative Anachronism as well. The later I took much more lightly than many of the die hard members, so I preferred attending the odd faire or party to joining the SCA. It was not quite my scene, but my Uncle and Aunt with their daughter and many friends of mine have enjoyed that group on and off. I enjoyed the costuming side of it the most.

Wierdest costume? Me... hmmmmm...

I can't say that I think my costumes were wierd per se, but they received peculiar reactions. People confused my celtic embroidered Ice Queen costume for a KKK costume - which was extremely upsetting for me to be honest.

I think the reason was simply because it was big and white. I still don't understand how they missed seeing the mystical embroidery and dramatic make-up effects I did, not to mention the Druidic looking walking stick. But hey, people can be dunce sometimes ( ... )

Trust me, the couch is far scarier.

You look adorable.

It seems I tried to perform some sort of potentially voodoo vanishing spell on that couch as a child. As a much older child or teen I oncce found a petrified banana peel inside it while cleaning.

I guess I was not a fan of the gaudy couch either and had a small ebYL streak as well. *chuckle*
