Tonight is the Long Night's Moon, the full moon closest to the Winter Solstice. The Moon isn't visible as it's overcast and has been snowing all day here but the name really brings to mind some stirring imagery.
Also known as the Oak moon, but doesn't have the same ring! *deep sigh* Yeh, Elle and I's 2th Moon together and didn't even get to spend more than an hour between her coming home from work and going to bed ... then I couldn't sleep because our little one decided she didn't want to sleep today (hsnn't slept more than 2 hours since 7a YESTERDAY!)

Poor dear, perhaps she's already a moon child?
I kept wandering around hoping there would be a break in the cloud cover to see it, but no luck. Perhaps we'll both have a nice viewing of it today while it's still fairly full...
That sound wonderful. One of the places I rented in college, the moon would shine in my bedroom window at night - it was incredible, very storybook ideal for me. You're very luck in that.
There's a brief period of time here where the moon is in our bedroom window, sadly the study is my main retreat in the house at present. Hopefully I'll start catching more moon hours soon.

And yes, it was still dark when I left for school this morning.
