Orientation is coming!!! *flails* I think we're mostly under control, but of course there is a massive amount of stuff to be done, some of which is time sensitive (ie. can't be done until a certain time next week). One more week of prep (in between 2 more training days and all the bloody meetings) then two weeks of Orientation madness...I'm both ( Read more... )

Nasty weather is nasty - but yeah, I think we're all glad we don't live in Qld any more. Mum is dying from the humidity up there - said she could see the edges of Yasi's cloud belt to the north and feel the weight of it. Urgh!

And now for something completely different ... more floods. :D

Ugh, indeed. It's been hot and humid and still here all week and I'm very displeased. However, working 10h+ a day does mean I get aircon. Phew!

I know I say I'm trying to be less busy every time you point it out, but who are we kidding? I can't stop, I don't know how.

Wow, Faerie of Disaster is back with a vengeance. I think you just need to do nothing for a while, before something bad happens. Did the floods or cyclone get anywhere near Buderim? Even here, we only get sketchy details.

Why do you have 5060 Tim Tams and can I have one, please?

That would be nice, but I have too many obligations that keep me run off my feet *facepalm* On day...

For Orientation, we have a morning tea most days which will consist of tea, coffee and Tim Tams, which is always a nice icebreaker when trying to talk to new International students. We're expecting around 7000 new students over the 2 weeks. But sure, come to Sydney and you can have as many Tim Tams as you want ;)
