Thanks :) Jen got so super-excited that I want to apply and she's demanded to help me update my resume/ write my application. I had a quick word to Liz (Jen's boss) and while she was all 'no promises', she loves internal hiring and thinks I have a great work ethic. She fist-bumped me as I was leaving which is massive praise from her!

Having known what I know of you and even through reading your post it is clear to me that you like to take steps forward and take on new challenges. With the kind of positive attitude you have I have no doubt you will be successful in getting an excellent graduate program that you will be proud of. I look forward to reading the post from you when the results come out as I'm sure you will be very excited at the idea of achieving something which at the moment you are nervous about your ability to accomplish. In applying for this new job as well you are showing initiative and this is no different from the usual you and I'm sure others picked up on that in the graduate program interviews.

And don't worry, just because you will soon be a 'grown up' doesn't mean you have to have a boring hairstyle :)

I think boring hair is kinda compulsary for Department of Finance. Grad program = prestige. Union = dressing like a pirate if I'm in a crappy mood.
