December is a tough month all around - and this year was no exception.  On top of everyone's holiday issues we have our busiest month of the year in the business plus final exams for the 2/3 of the family in college.  The year also added Patricia's health issues and I developed the never-ending cold.  It's been a stressful month on all fronts.

Today we went to church at the Crystal Cathedral.  We had toured it on Friday and it is a very beautiful place - not so much the main cathedral but the grounds and statuary.

One of the tragedies of the last few decades is that religious extremists have become the voice of religion in the world.  Whether you are talking about Al-Queda or the Fundamentalist Christian Right - they've been shouting for too long as if their version of faith is 'the' only version.  It isn't.
