This post is nothing short of delightful. You have made me wish that Solstice Singers were a more plentiful breed, as they sound like a gem of a genus.

A gem of a genus....you delight my alliterative soul! :)

I fear that were SolsticeSingers more plentiful they might be less charming; some of their charm lies in their uniqueness.

This is an excellent guide to the Solstice Singer.

I find myself wanting to know her better.

Excellent. Very glad you enjoyed. Appeared I did my job well then, if you are intrigued by her. :)

SO FREAKING ADORABLE!

I squeed my way through this post. Am kinda jealous I didn't think of this, but I also don't know any contestants well enough to craft something this good.

Squee-worthy even! *blush* I'm going to get an inflated ego.

Seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed this. It was surprisingly difficult to write, as I wanted it to be something that people could identify with. The risk of knowing someone well is that one's perception becomes skewed. I thought perhaps that my observations would be too esoteric (for lack of a better word) to be universally appreciated.

So glad you did appreciate it though.

It's ok to have an inflated ego when you're clearly that awesome. ;)

I had the opposite issue; I didn't know anybody. The one person I did know, who got me into this competition, had to drop out pretty early on. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw this prompt.
