I'm not sure what was worse this morning: seeing that the station near my dad's old work was bombed, or seeing that one near my old school was.

What a wonderful world we live in.

Imagine living in Bali or Israel, where it happens almost every day, to people you know and love.

It's a hard, hard world.

I know you won't agree with this, but I think it's just one more reason that we should be in Iraq, and I hope people realize that.

Actually, I can't agree or disagree with it. Not because my politics are in another place, but because what you just said makes absolutley no sense...whatsoever.

Bali and Israel are NOT Iraq. No Iraqi terrorist group has claimed responsiblility for the bombings in London. And this insane amount of terrorist activity in Iraq today is a direct result of....the United States invasion.
These are not political statements. These are facts.

Erm. Actually, those facts aren't all correct. A group that claims to be affiliated with Al Qaeda (I Just totally screwed up that spelling) has claimed responsiblity for the London Bombings. I believe they call themselves "The Group of al Qaeda of Jihad Organization in Europe." They released announcements yesterday, although the group has not officially been verified, Scotland Yard is presently looking into it.

From what I saw on the news last night, it seems that the group is directly connected with the bombings in Spain(?) last year, but at the moment not enough is known about how the bombings did occur. I've been following this on the news religiously for the past twenty-four hours, as have my parents, as most of our close family friends live in London, and this struck particularly close to home ( ... )
