Twilight Zone

The timing of things has made for a very weird vibe around me. Life is totally upside down -- really different and weird. I'll tell you why. Number one, I had a baby. Jacob quit his job because of a chain of problems that I won't even bother getting into right now. We have to move out of our apartment in five days because our lease is up and we're ( Read more... )

~hugs~

Sis, I understand what you real, truly. I had a hard timing with the timing of things as well.

Still, maybe all these things will work out for the best in the end. After all, I know you were excited about the new little man in your house and buying a home of your own will be wonderful.

I was the oldest and when my Mom had my sis I became very possessive of her. Maybe Hailey is just trying to figure out her role in the new scheme of things .

Isn't it weird how things can just change on you? But I guess we survive it. It's just strange, that's all.

I think you're right about Hailey. She was excited about the baby, but I think her imagination about what it would be like and what it's really like are two different things. She's just probably trying to reconcile the two.

Thanks for the hugs! ::grins::

I know that my parents kept telling me it would a be a little sister for me to play with and I somehow expected her to come out tiny and then rapidly (like in a day or two ;) ) be big enough for me to play with. Since she wasn't, I was disappointed for a while ;).

That's cute! My sister "ruined" my fifth birthday be inconveniently being born the day before. It's kind of cool that we're a day apart like that now, but man I couldn't stand her for making my party two weeks late! (So I'm told. I like to think I was a sweet and giving child, LOL)

First of all, congratulations on the new baby. I'm sorry I've been so out of touch that I didn't say anything before now. Also, that's excellent on the new house, even though I know it's a lot of work on top of everything else ( ... )

Thanks for the congrats! And it's great talking to you again, BTW. Your advice makes perfect sense. I think I'll try it. I'll be far less overwhelmed your way!

I think reading your story is helping. ::grins:: It's fantastic -- just so you know. Seriously, reading fanfic is something I've gotten away from. It's great to do it again, even if my computer time is so limited that I can only read a couple of chapters at a time.

Gail! Wow, I haven't heard from you in forever!

We named him Jamison Alexander. He was born on March 9th, weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19" long. I have pics -- can I upload them here without a paid account?

It's great to hear from you!

Congrats on buying a house! it's a big step, but one you'll be so thankful for. A house is a home in a way an apartment could never be. And it's something that will help pull your family back together - permanance, security...
Hailey will come around. She just needs time to accept the little brother and his place in her world.
Good luck to Jacob finding a new job.
Deep breaths. Everything will fall into place.
