It's actually... quite true, when I think about it. Not the sophisticated bit, of course, but the other two. I used to wonder whether I was ambitious, but after a random chat with my senior last weekend, I concluded that I was.
Senior: Are you competitive?
Me: *thinks* Yes, very, now that I think about it. At least, do you remember how, back in our secondary school, after every exam, there would be a whole sea of students swarming the single miserable bus-stop to wait for the single miserable bus service?
Senior: *waits expectantly*
Me: Well, more often than not, more than half the people wouldn't be able to squeeze on, and would have to wait for the next bus. But 98% of the time, I would manage to get on the bus, and even get a seat most of the time.
Senior: *awestruck* I usually waited in school for the tide to clear...
Me: Ah! Why were you so wimpish! I always took it as a personal challenge to get a seat on the bus. And usually managed to do so, by judicious manoeuvering and careful strategizing.
Senior: *sweatdrops*
Plus, I was chatting with a senior's brother's friend the other day, and he was saying that usually people who work for the Economic Development Board have a very strong competitive streak. (they need competitive people to drive singapore's economy...) Which is probably something that I have (i think), or else why would they pick me?
