I made Jilebi (Indian). I like the Persian version (ha!) but I didn't have that recipe. I found a mix in a store so I tried that out. I didn't have the proper device/funnel/tube to make them look the way in the picture, but they turned out ok...

I have the kind you make with lemon juice and it's made of wheat and lentil flour. I'm sure you can substitute rose water. I need a better mechanism to squirt out the batter. Last night they were crispy on the outside and kinda gooey on the inside like they are supposed to be...maybe my means of storage is TOO airtight, because they became squishy on the outside but still gooey on the inside. still tasted great! I believe I found them at World Market...I'll get you a box when I go back.
