Just when they started to get totally likeable and I wasn't wanting to beat them both over the head and drag them off to a bedroom somewhere until they gave in and boinked....
And then the ending of book four happened and I was like, YOU MORON OF COURSE THAT WAS HIM. OH MY GOD I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF, MAC. But then when everything was okay...and she was Mac-ish again I was like, I WILL FIND A WAY INTO THIS BOOK, YOU SILLY BITCH. >.< She made me crazy. Every step forward she took, she was blown like 8 paces back in character development.
She was *not* written well. She would be for a short time and then, she wasn't again. :P
I will let my icon of Rarity express my feelings on Mac with her face.
Randomly checking out your LJ and wanted to weigh in. I read the first because it was a cheap ebook read. I liked it well enough to keep going on the series, but I gave up in the penultimate book and never finished the series. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't.

It does get better after most of the books.
You still want her to die though.
The whole time.

Currently I'm reading the October Daye series. I like it much better. :)
And I love the spell check on my browser. I am a horrific speller.
I hope you had a happy birthday!
