6 inches forward, and 5 inches back

If any of you here follow my other journal, I finished my cannibal book. I'm going through these pages like they're water in my hands. I really need to get out more, or find a more complex book to read. Maybe I'll start on Nietzsche or read more into the religion I was born into. Or maybe another one. Many types of wicca are coming to light, as ( Read more... )

i'm evolving! i'm evolving! >.<

please give me the title and author of the book you were reading, the one about cannabalism. i want to read it. if you're interested in religious books, i highly recommened Jesus and the Lost Goddess by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy. its about the secret teachings of the original Christians, and how modern Christianity (especially the Roman Catholics) have brutally suppressed its theologies for centuries. in short, its about the central ideas of Gnosticism. very intriguing.

the little heart put a huge smile on my face for some reason. hmm. anyway, the author is Mary An Mitchell, the title is Ambrosial Flesh. It's a very fitting title actually. Mrs. Mitchhell isn't of the caliber of Ms. Brite, but is still very good. I actually wish that it had gone farther on it's perversion scale, but oh well. Very intriguing idea. But yeh, if we meet up before you can get your hands on a copy, I'll just bring it to you. The way I read, books are getting pretty expensive, and I figure you're that way too, lol. ummm...as for the rest of that, does that mean that you're leaning more in the direction that is not catholicism? or were you just curious?

exchanging books sound like a marvelous idea. we ought to do this. i know what you mean, i've spent hundreds of dollars on books already. i have books on Wicca, Celtic Druidism, Kundalini Yoga and Zen Buddhism. (if you're interested.) i have read them most of them, and find them very informative. with these books, i have found out that they are not just doctrines, but a way of life. and it has cultivated a richer lifestyle for me. its absolutely priceless ( ... )

supposedly i'm supposed to stay away from other kinds of buddhism...they apparently have power...but of the negative kind. *twitches nose*...i can see that though. i tried something from another buddhist sect and it was very...yeh, powerful. scary actually. but anything you have to let me borrow i'll take lol. damn my book fiending.

as for your gnosticism...i think you made a good choice. if you keep yourself open, you're bound to find the correct path. or if there IS even a path for that matter. the hardest thing to grasp would be that there is no path...but maybe thats why it's hard to grasp. hmm...i need to think on this more.

you make Buddhism sound more enigmatic and almost fearsome. i don't know much about Buddhism so you will need to share what you know with me sometime. yes i do try to keep myself open, but that does not mean my faith is vague and deluded. i'm just curious. and your right, the path may or may not even exist. that's why i think we have faith. i like this conversation, we need to sit in a cafe and talk. goodness, i think i'm going to fall asleep at work right now. need coffee.....

i've seen it completely turn people around...as far as i can tell it's made every life that has touched it better. kinda scared of the other kinds. they dont incorporate all the teachings that buddha had sent out...so they focus on one thing, neglect the other, and somehow it turns around...no balance i guess. ive heard of all kinda of crazy things...there are even sects of buddhism that invoke the spirits of animals o.O ...end up in crazy rituals and people end up with the characteristics of these animals...personality-wise that is. i dunno. i think i'd have to see it for myself, but it sounds plausible if it came from my dad. there's just all kinds of wrong things you can do with natural laws of the world, and people seem to think that all of them are positive. or maybe they just so desperately want something extraordinary in their lives that they'll accept anything, whether it be good or bad. About your faith, I think you're totally right. It's good to keep it with you. If you've lost faith, hope naturally crumbles underneath it. ( ... )
