people turn to religion when their lives lack stability because it's easy to find a sense of stability in something that you can never prove Doesn't exist

look up the song "Prelude for Time Feelers" by Eluvium. It's a pretty instrumental piano piece and it's kind of heartbreaking, but ultimately uplifting. i think you might like it.
lovely, i've been youtubing Eluvium for the last 30 minutes now. i love him so much! thanks for introducing me. this is Exactly what i needed in my life right now.
my music tastes lately have been increasingly piano-oriented, and increasingly instrumental in a lot of cases as well. it's a genre of music that i've never enjoyed enough, even as i revel in it now. :)
i love you muchly, and would really really like to have sleepover/cookies-n'-coffee/baking-time/cuddles with you before you off to mexico and the world. can that be arranged?
Church communities provide something which is critical for people. Churches dont have any sort of monopoly over it, but it is certainly a good place to look... id be hard pressed to cement down what it is, but i think its a sense of belonging to a community which directs itself in a positive way... a group of people who have a vision for what is right and good, for themselves and the world, and actively work toward it.
the contra community is big and loving, but doenst really provide that sense of purpose like a church community does (and frequently involves shitty negative things [old people bitchin' about wipper-stompers weekend// karen fain]), college is a really inward time where people are growing and figuring out where they'll go...
so maybe church is exactly where you should go. there are lots of places to get what it provides, but if church is what speaks to you now, then hell yah.
